The Shelburne County Archives and Genealogical Society is your resource for research in Shelburne County. Whether you're tracing your family history or just interested in this historically rich part of Nova Scotia the Society has a huge collection of records to help you in your quest.

A seafaring heritage awaits you...

With a wealth of tools and resources available, the Society aims to assist you in researching life in Shelburne County since the Planter Townships of Barrington and Lockeport were founded and the first Loyalist fleet landed in May 1783. There are also records of early Mi'kmaq and Acadian settlements.
